A new home for rugby

New Home for Rugby League and Rugby Union

The Territory Government has committed to developing a new and better home for rugby league and rugby union with a purpose built facility. The new facility will consist of two new grounds and a host of supporting infrastructure, including a grandstand, change rooms and lighting. The new location is yet to be finalised but the following sites have been identified as potential homes. These site options are subject to discussions with Traditional Owners and Traditional Custodians, further consultation with relevant stakeholders and technical analysis.

Whilst the Territory Government understands some of the requirements for the new ovals through discussions with the Rugby codes, they are interested in receiving feedback from the broader community on what they see as the ‘must haves’ for the project.  If you or your organisation have any ideas they would like to feed into this process, you can email them to art.gallery@nt.gov.au or call 8951 1145.

The Territory Government wants to hear from the community on all major projects and will publically seek additional feedback from the community once a site is determined.
